Norah Higgerty

Norah along with her business partner Ralph Pritchard are part of Team Weldon here at Creativ Realty. “We live and work in this area and we know it well,” says Norah. “We know all the beaches, the houses, the value, the politics - we know what’s going on. And it’s a fun, nice place to live year-round.” Originally from south of London, England,Norah has called Grand Barachois home for many years and loves her spot along the Haute Aboujagane River, while Ralph, originally from London, Ontario until 1983, lives on the Scoudouc River, right behind the World’s Largest Lobster in Shediac. Both Norah, who retired from interior design, and Ralph, who retired after 30 years as a public servant, entered real estate as a second career and they have been working together since 2012. Contrary to what some people may have experienced when buying or selling homes, it is very important for Norah and Ralph that their clients not feel pressure. “We’re here if you need us,” says Ralph. “But we’re doing it because we love to do it, and I think that makes a big difference.” When asked about their favourite aspect of the job, they both answered without hesitation: “The People”. And of course, being able to find a match between Buyer and Seller and witnessing how happy they both are. “Those are the times that make all the work we do worthwhile,” says Norah. When not working to sell or trying to find the perfect homes for their clients, Norah, an energetic walker that logs in 5k every day, participates in a half marathon every year and hopes to one day walk the Camino, can be found indulged in a good book or entertaining and spending time with family and friends; while Ralph, a pilot, flying instructor, actor, filmmaker and artist, can often be found on his jet ski towing his grandchildren on an8-person banana boat. Both heavily involved in the community, Norah and Ralph have individually given their support to many worthy organizations such as the Vestiaire Saint-Joseph Food Bank, Greater Shediac Chamber of Commerce and Rotary Club, to name a few. But their “pet project”, main focus and the cause closest to their hearts,is the Beausejour Family Crisis Resource Centreand Marielle, the Courthouse Dog who gives comfort to victims of violence when testifying in court. They help with fundraising and even sponsor a family every year at Christmas time. Norah and Ralph are proud of the successful partnerships they have built, both with each other and with each of their respective clients, based above all on honesty and trust.
